Ed DeHoratius has taught Latin and Classics in brick-and-mortar schools in Massachusetts since 1995, including all levels of Latin, from 1 to AP, and courses in Medieval Literature, Classical Literature, and Greek and Roman Archaeology.
He has taught Latin and Archaeology courses online since 2010, first for the TEC Online Academy, then for K12/Aventa, Edgenuity, Northwestern University’s Center for Talent Development, and Accelerate Education, and currently for eAchieve Academy in Waukesha, WI. He also serves on the board of directors of TECCA, one of two statewide online public schools in Massachusetts.
He has published four Latin textbooks, including an AP Latin Prep book (the only one currently available) as well as the Follow Your Fates series; click here for his Amazon author’s page, here for the Follow Your Fates website, and here for the AP Prep Book. He has also self-published a Latin grammar reference book on the iBooksStore.
He has also coached soccer for over 30 seasons from youth and rec to club and semi-pro. He holds the NSCAA's (now USC) National Diploma. He is an avid watcher and student of the game (and doesn't believe in formations or the use of the numbers to denote positions). In fact, the last time he was speechless was when, at the 2012 Spain – US soccer game, he was handed Spain’s World Cup Trophy.
In his spare time, he spends time with his wife and three sons, and he enjoys cooking, woodworking, and photography.
He keeps lists and/or sites of various things:
